Given the Green Lawn and Healthy looking Trees I'm not sure where the
"We need some water" comes from?????
Also, where was that taken? It's been decades since I'd been there but
it kind of reminds me of the Descanso Gardens in appearance.

Beautiful tree. I'll go out and ask a few of our Seattle rain clouds
to detour south...

Don't be deceived Ed. It's pretty dry.

Also, where was that taken? It's been decades since I'd been there but

This was shot at the Cal State Fullerton Arboretum. This place used to be a
real nice destination. Not as good as Descanso Gardens mind you, nor as
big --- but not bad. In recent years however it has spiraled downhill with
the State's budget. The lawns are still well tended but the plantings are a
disaster.

We need water too. We've had a few wet days, the grass is now green
again and goes "splish" as you step on it but the ground's hard
underneath. And there's almost nothing coming down the rivers.
If England was a country it'd be the world's fourth most densely
populated, and most of the density is here in the south: we'll have real
problems next summer if we don't get a wet winter.

And we also need skiable snow in the Alps!

When I was in La Tania in 2004 it was French-speaking. By 2006 it was
totally British. I'm going to Austria this winter in the hope of
escaping them...

Needless to say my first trip Over There coincided with a major drought in
the south-no car washing or garden watering. I went all the way to England
to see grass that in places looked like summer in Calgary. Three weeks and
only one rain shower and that was in Scotland. 25 years ago it was-probably
a lot fewer people then too.
