Let see if this works.

Set up METAR ... there should be a map that pops up via your internet
connection. The METAR report can be downloaded automatically by schedule if
you like. NOW I suppose you are using the Internet verions of VWS?

I personally don't use METAR.

There is another way of doing this ... it involves setting up a file and I
haven't done that enough to be sure I could tell you right.

I think the NOAA.GOV or FTP.NOAA.GOV ... try both.
