I have been looking at Isabel's track and previous storms that
kai-boshed (sp?) New England... Bob 1991, Gloria 1985, Carol 1954 - don't seem to have have the correct profile or history. Sure looks a lot like the devasting Great Hurricane of 1938 track to me. Very very scary. (On the South shore of MA.) http://met.psu.edu/tropical/tcgengifs/ Please go to the above (Penn State U.) and run the animation for these models! GFDL considered one of the best. Click on Animation, then click Forward. Really cool - but scaring me to death!! Any Thoughts, Mic |
