Send me some of that wind and rain.Even the rain forest in OR is
drying up.6th straight Sept headed for drought(30% or less of avg.)
and 6th straight summer drought just ended. No winters to speak of.
We'll have to ship our water in from where you are if this global

Well, you can certainly have the excess rain we got here in the Orlando
area this summer. Way above normal, and "normal" is 6-8" a month! Lakes &
retention ponds overflowing, yards getting flooded out. Fortunately Sept.
has been dry after the 1st week. Perhaps the dry season (usually starts in
Oct.) is starting a bit early this year.
And kindly can that "global warming" crap. 20 years ago this was prime
citrus growing country. Now production is down 90% thanks to a series of
HARD FREEZES in the '80s and early '90s. Those same freezes virtually
destroyed the citrus industry in S. Texas. Last winter we got down to 25 at
least twice (had to spray water on the orange tree out back to keep it
alive) and had several days when the *high* didn't break 55 (normal is ~70).
Even with a new efficient furnace, our gas bill was 2-3x the winter normal.
At any rate, would you like to have the Ice Age back?

Dave

to the Earth, a hundred years is *nothing*. A million years is *nothing*.
This planet lives and breathes on a much vaster scale. We can't imagine its
slow and powerful rhythms, and we haven't got the humility to try."
