Penn State is developing a series of courses. The first one, METEO
101: Understanding Weather Forecasting, is currently being offered
through Penn State's World Campus. For more information, see:

Hope this helps.

Mississippi State University offers distance learning for both operational
and broadcast meteorology. Check it out at

http://msstate.edu/dept/geosciences/distance.html

I believe both programs take you to the BS level. MB

I'm currently in MS State's program myself. I have loved it. It's a three
year program --- but you do not get a degree (unless you have many other
classes that can transfer).
