My name is Richard Garrett and I am a composer. I've just set up the
website for my latest music project, Weathersongs, and thought you
might like to hear about it.

Weathersongs is a project which algorithmically composes music from the
ever-changing patterns of wind, rain, temperature, pressure and
humidity as recorded by an Davis Instruments electronic weather
station.

The project has a number of elements including an installation which
plays music continually in response to current weather conditions; and
various musical interpretations of both real-time and non-real-time
weather data (some of which will appear on audio CDs in the future).
Samples of this music are available on the Weathersongs website and
more will be online soon.
