Pacific Storm will cause weather problems Tom Moore, Sr. Meteorologist, The Weather Channel A potent storms moving into Oregon is producing heavy snow in the Oregon Cascades and the mountains of northern California with numerous snow advisories and even a winter storm warning in effect. Snow levels range from 1500 to 3000 feet and some mountain locations may pick up over a foot of snow by early Saturday. Thunderstorms erupted in the northern and central Sacramento Valley in California and a tornadoes were reported in the Sacramento area. Meanwhile, a slow-moving storm in the Southeast produced showers and thunderstorms over parts of the Carolinas and Georgia on Friday. Most of the thunderstorms will remain below severe limits, however, and condirions will improve on Saturday. --- Regards, Paul Kekai Manansala |
