Does anyone know why Pierre SD is so much hotter than surrounding areas in
SD? It's typically at least 5-10 degrees warmer than the rest of central SD. When traveling through SD in during the heat wave of 1988, it was 101 in Miller SD and Pierre (which is 75 miles west) was 114. This is almost always the case during the summer. What would cause this, it's not a big city, nor is it in a deep valley, the elevation is similar to surrounding areas (about 1500 ft). ----== Posted via Newsfeeds.Com - Unlimited-Uncensored-Secure Usenet News==---- http://www.newsfeeds.com The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! 120,000+ Newsgroups ----= East and West-Coast Server Farms - Total Privacy via Encryption =---- |
