Default PUT FREEKIN MUFFLERS ON THE DUMB GENERATORS!!!

As a resident of Broward county, Florida, living at the bullseye of
Hurricane Godzilla, I am now in my 12th day without power. I don't
mind that so much. Its no one's fault. FPL and the many other U.S.
and Canadian power companies helping us are doing a GREAT job (despite
what whining complainers say).

What DOES annoy me are the stupid freekin generators! Why does a 13
horsepower generator have to make 50 times more noise than a 300 HP
car???

At the peak of the power outtage, all these stupid generators were
making as much noise as having 500 landmowers in my back yard. And all
this noise so that these turkeys can sit there and watch their stupid
TVs!

And another thing, at a time when people were waiting in gas lines as
much as 1 mile long, you had these generator-people sucking up all of
this critical gasoline just so that they can watch their stupid TVs and
not sit in the dark. Is that really a good use for CRITICAL gasoline
that people need for basic transportation?

In future crises, sales of gasoline for stupid generators should be
strictly limited. There is a critical need for people to get gasoline
for their cars. There is NOT a critical need for a bunch of people to
get gas so that they can run their stupid-ass freekin generators and
watch TV!

Why can there not be some regulation passed that stupid freekin
generators have to have mufflers, like any other freekin engine???

People could build boxes (sound barriers) made of wood around the
generators, this brings the noise way way down. It dosen't have
to cover the top, just the sides to make a big difference. I
don't think that you would want to cover the top anyway.

A few well placed hay bales would do the trick. Sacks of debris might
do too, in a pinch.
