LOL. :~D I suppose unless you have the experience, the regrets for what might have been would probably have seemed just as enormous. And over 2000 young men would never have known how lucky they were Well at least the USA is now safe. Pity hurricanes don't have to pass through airport controls. A Google search hauled these up straight away: HEATING DEGREE DAY DATA WEEKLY FORECAST POPULATION-WEIGHTED STATE,REGIONAL,AND NATIONAL AVERAGES CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER-NCEP-NWS-NOAA LAST DATE OF FORECAST WEEK IS NOV 26, 2005 LAST DATE OF OBSERVED WEEKLY LAST YR IS NOV 26, 2004 SEASONAL ACCUMULATIONS ARE FROM JUL 1, 2005 TO NOV 19, 2005 -999 = NORMAL LESS THAN 100 OR RATIO INCALCULABLE STATE FCST FCST FCST **** OBSERVED SEASONAL **** WEEK WEEK WEEK **** ACCUMULATIONS **** TOTAL DEV DEV TOTAL DEV DEV DEV DEV FROM FROM FROM FROM FROM FROM NORM L YR NORM L YR NORM L YR PRCT PRCT 2000 HDD normals implemented 8/1/2002 ALABAMA 112 15 51 319 -49 128 -13 67 ARIZONA 43 -40 -41 121 -116 -82 -49 -40 snipped http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/product...s/hfstwpws.txt ******* What are Degree Days? Degree Days is the rate of heat loss from a building, (related to the building fabric) and the temperature difference between the inside and outside of a building, the greater the temperature difference the more heat will be lost. It is not possible to directly compare your buildings performance from consumption data alone as weather conditions vary from month to month and year to year. Heating degree days are a measure of the severity and duration of cold weather, the colder the weather in a given month the higher the degree day value. If you take these into account it is possible to compare one year with another and to determine whether any initiatives have resulted in energy savings or there are problems with your building that need to be addressed. http://www.thecarbontrust.co.uk/ener...s/page_318.asp ******* I take it you already tried that? |
