She stepped up 20 Kmph since this morning. Headng for the northern tip
of Queensland with wind speeds at up to 130 Kmph.

It has been a Wet for them, a continuation of the season of hurricanes
in the North Atlantic.

Do you have any statistics about how the hurricane-season in United States
turn out to be after a bussy hurricane-season in Australia? Does the number
of hurricanes in Australia-area have any thing to say for the season in USA?

Cory, Norway.

No.

Here is a site that posts activity with a good archive so you can check
it out:

Just keep hitting the "previous" button. Try and prove me wrong.

I believe the activity of cyclones is due to consecutive runs of wet
spells giving way to misty ones. Of course, what is a wet spell for me
usually means brush fires for California or Texas.

It fits with the time scales too. They last about a week, as does such
a phase.

YMMV. Texas had fires when all the rest of the USA and Canada were in
the grip of a severe snow storm this year. Must be God paying them back
for George Bush not listening when He gave him a good talking to.
