In 1816, the overall temperature on Earth, specifically in the Northern I thought the year without summer was in the middle of the preceding century, with the eruption of Laki in Iceland. Not that the release of a naturally occurring atmospheric gas can be proven to have caused it, of course. One would need more than the mere cycle involved to show that. One would need to isolate the cause of volcanic eruptions to show that the following part of the cycle was not in some way involved in changing the weather pattern. In a similar manner I caught David Attenborough or whatever his name is, quoting the cause of global warming as the increase in carbon dioxide levers by something like 280 parts per million. That's hardly a great deal is it when one realises how infinitely soluble gasses are in water and how subject to temperature and pressure the solubility is |
