Hurricane party! 'T ain't nothing like seeing 8 foot waves on the bayou by
the house. Been there done that. Nailed the roof back down when I woke
up, with a bitchin' hangover no less.

Gilbert only killed 45 (or so) people in Jamaica, pretty impressive
considering it was a 4 storm and that was 20 years ago. That same storm
hitting the US probably would have killed 200+ I imagine they must have a
pretty decent plan of action. Hati on the other hand (the cess pool of the
western hemisphere) doesn't seemed too concerned about it. Most people in
Hati live in tin houses if they're lucky, things will be much worse there.
It's constantly on the consular site as a country NOT to travel to, I
imagine it should sink directly into hell within the next day or two, it's
already halfway there now because of extreme poverty, no police force or
military to speak of and cocaine cartels that make Pablo look like a
nickle-bagger.
