Default Another Powerful Arctic Front....

Another powerful arctic front is moving rapidly across the upper midwest and
Ohio Valley. Areas in Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, South Dakota and
Michigan will see several inches of snow along with brutally cold wind

Out ahead of the front in the Ohio Valley, tempertures have reached the
lower 60's and severe weather is occuring almost everywhere along the front.
Wind gusts in Kentucky and Indiana have been reported to be as high as 80MPH
in some places. Behind the front here, expect temperatures to drop some 45
degrees into the lower 20's tonight with wind chills as low as 0.

WEDNESDAY...

A WIND CHILL WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 12 PM CST WEDNESDAY.

DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS OF 40 TO 55 BELOW ZERO ARE EXPECTED
TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING ACROSS THE NORTHLAND. WIND CHILLS
THIS LOW ARE CAPABLE OF FREEZING EXPOSED FLESH IN AS LITTLE AS
5 MINUTES. LIMIT ANY TIME OUTDOORS...AND TAKE THE NECESSARY
PRECAUTIONS TO PREVENT FROSTBITE AND HYPOTHERMIA. REMEMBER THAT
PETS ARE ALSO SUSCEPTIBLE TO COLD WIND CHILLS.

A WIND CHILL WARNING MEANS THE COMBINATION OF VERY COLD AIR AND
STRONG WINDS WILL CREATE DANGEROUSLY LOW WIND CHILL VALUES. THIS
COULD RESULT IN FROST BITE AND LEAD TO HYPOTHERMIA IF PRECAUTIONS
ARE NOT TAKEN.

317 PM EST (217 PM CST) TUE JAN 29 2008

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL
INDIANA AND CENTRAL KENTUCKY.

..DAY ONE...TONIGHT.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL PASS THROUGH THE REGION THIS EVENING. THIS
FRONT WILL BRING WINDS OF 35 TO 45 MPH WITH GUSTS AS HIGH AS 60 MPH
FOR A TIME THIS EVENING. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL ACCOMPANY THE
FRONT AS IT PASSES THROUGH. SOME OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS MAY BECOME
SEVERE WITH DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 70MPH BEING THE PRIMARY SEVERE
WEATHER THREAT.
THE MOST LIKELY TIME FOR SEVERE WEATHER WILL BE BETWEEN 5PM AND 10PM
FROM WEST TO EAST.

AFTER THE FRONT PASSES...TEMPERATURES WILL DROP VERY QUICKLY.
LEFT OVER PRECIPITATION BEHIND THE FRONT MAY CHANGE TO A BRIEF
PERIOD OF FLURRIES OR SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS. HOWEVER...LITTLE OR NO
ACCUMULATION IS EXPECTED. THE COMBINATION OF FALLING TEMPERATURES
AND WET PAVEMENT MAY LEAD TO SOME SLICK SPOTS ON AREA ROADWAYS BY
MORNING. IN ADDITION...THE COLD TEMPERATURES AND GUSTY
WINDS WILL PRODUCE WIND CHILL READINGS IN THE SINGLE DIGITS BY
SUNRISE.

..DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

A STORM SYSTEM IS FORECAST TO IMPACT THE REGION BEGINNING THURSDAY
AFTERNOON AND PERSISTING THROUGH THE DAY ON FRIDAY. BESIDES THE
POTENTIAL FOR A COLD BUT HEAVY RAINFALL MAINLY THURSDAY NIGHT...SOME
WINTRY PRECIPITATION IS POSSIBLE AFTER MIDNIGHT THURSDAY NIGHT AND
INTO FRIDAY. SOME ACCUMULATING SNOW IS NOT OUT OF THE QUESTION
DURING THE DAY ON FRIDAY...ESPECIALLY FOR PORTIONS OF SOUTH CENTRAL
INDIANA AND PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL KENTUCKY. AT THIS TIME...IT
APPEARS THAT LOCATIONS IN SOUTHERN INDIANA COULD SEE OVER AN INCH OF
SNOW ACCUMULATION BY FRIDAY EVENING...WITH LOCATIONS IN NORTH
CENTRAL KENTUCKY AND THE NORTHERN BLUEGRASS SEEING UP TO AN INCH OF
SNOWFALL. IN ADDITION...THIS STORM SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE WIND GUSTS
OVER 30 MPH AT TIMES FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT INTO FRIDAY AFTERNOON.

..SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE REQUESTED THIS EVENING.

A few words with the link would have sufficed.

This set up looks like it might be a standard issue for lunar phases
at this time and at this time of year:

What might be revealing is a tool that would run these spells side by
side in order to see if and where they match:

Unfortunately because of the way that Microsoft have arranged my
computer to run for me, the viewer presents a difficulty for anyone
wishing to do more than the mundane and banal with such.

Ah, don't take it too personally Jack, you just need a good swift cyber-kick
in the arse from time to time, someone has to keep that huge ego in check.
Just be happy you don't have F-3 tornados and 80-110MPH straight line winds
knocking at your door. I'd give anything to be in the UK right now. Keep
at it Jack, we need a good counsellor around here. And remember, don't
neglect your work!
