Owing to the constraints placed on it by the British Government,
access to weather data (that we have paid handsomely for) is restricted to the man on the Clapham Omninbus. God in his omniscience has allowed us access to this data from the USA, Canada and.. Germany. However despite a cultural urge to run Europe, the Germans persist in ignoring the need for a common tongue. Never mind; Google to the rescue: http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten/fsfaxsem.html Using Google Translation: German » English Charts from: Sembach: These cards are supported by the U.S. Air Force. As the foundation serves the global forecast model of the British weather service UKMO. Eingezeichnet are ground pressure, fronts and the nature and intensity of precipitation. HIRLAM: Charts of the Dutch weather service on the basis of the regional model HIRLAM. There are ground pressure and fronts drawn. Bracknell: Black and white charts from the Met Office, (formerly broadcast on short wave.) Portrayed are ground pressure and fronts, forecasts from 48hr even layer thickness (the difference Geopotentiale of 1000 and 500 hPa and average temperatures for this layer.) DWD: FAX-charts from the German Weather Service. They are based on the global forecast model GME. Portrayed are both the ground pressure, fronts and medium clouds, and the 850hPa temperature, 500 hPa area, and moisture fields in 700 hPa NWS: Charts from the U.S. Weather Service (National Weather Service.) Station data is overlaid with isobars from model analyses. The Central Weather provides these charts in two resolutions. **** In the panel headed: "Topkarten" click the title: "FAX". This opens a panel called (wait for it): "Fax". Choose a chart source in that panel and click on the chart for a time required.... in the last panel which will be titled: "Europa / Atlantik". An great site. But what gives it excellence is their archives section. |

Just ask in your own thread, for the cissies are dissing me there. |
