As the USA nationalises the banking industry I was off on my own
planet perusing the different international wether sites:

Once IIhad got over the fact that some of the countries seem to share
a similar style / page layout / geek ethos / insert three letter word
here, I found myself looking at the US page and noticed this link:

What I was thinking as I watched the page open from the US home page
was the plethora of free data the USA makes available to the rest of
us. Imagine where we'd be without NASA, NOAA and the rest of it.

Then the page opened and I wondered:

"Is it all over?

Has Presidunce Bush killed us all?

"Is this the last of the golden age? Is the Library of Alexandria
afire? Is this the start of Armageddon?

Where are your assassins when you are needed America?"


I can't see how the country can survive the Wall Street debacle they
have engineered and keep their websites going. Can you?

OK, they washed out New Orleans; **** happens.

OK, they reinvented Viet Nam; well in a democracy you expect to arrive
at a few duds now and again.

But Umpteen Trillion dollars... that's serious telephone numerology
that iz. You need a Probability Drive * Hactared^n to work out where
all this is going.

The US could end up with a MetO -or worse... a BBC.
