New Orleans now has a conservative Democrat as mayor and a Republican state governer. Jindal has already activated 4000 National Guard troops just to be prepared for disaster relief if needed. Imagine that. Local elected officials actually taking responsibility and planning instead of sitting on their hands and waiting for the Fed to tell them what to do. |
