Default Good News, Bad News :)

If you are tired of winter and ready for spring, the news is good. If
you like winter and snow, it is bad.

It appears that a big, big Bermuda high may set up off the SE US
coast late this week. If it happens, it will pump warm air into the
Northeast with lots of sunshine, which should lead to highs in the 40s
even up north, and as much as 60 possible in southern New England.

We'll see what happens.. appears maple sugaring season may start early
this year!

peace,

Charles,

Good news to me.

Any bets on whether we're done with snowstorms for the winter?

My guess is we are done with anything over 2" down here in SE PA. I'd say a
50-50 chance that tomorrow will be the last accumulating snow we see this
winter. I know March can offer plenty of opportunities, but not in this
current pattern.

I think we're in for one more big storm, in late March or early April. I
have no actual evidence to back up this hunch, but it's been a while since
we had a good April snow here in NE.

As long as the electricity stays on, I don't mind this type of early spring
storm - it's a real out-of-the-blue kick, and it melts quickly.

Finally is what I say. I think we'll have one or two more major storms
but they won't last long. I think the harshest part of winter is past us.
(At least I hope. )

My guess is not. Definitely not up where I am, and probably not where
you are either. March is historically a good snowstorm month, and even
though the current pattern isn't favorable, patterns can change quickly.

As for me, if I don't get any storms in *April* I will consider it a
great spring.
