Over the last couple of days, this newsgroup has been subject to a few
forged messages. There also seems to be someone who has decided to repost
articles here from ne.weather for reasons we cannot determine, and he
refuses to explain.

We are working on dealing with the forgeries, which are a problem that
plagues every moderated newsgroup from time to time. The very best thing
you can do is to *ignore these messages*. They are posted only to elicit
a reaction. So don't give them one.

We have a good group of mature weather enthusiasts here, and any
problems we have will be resolved. If you see an off-topic post or
forgery, please respond instead by posting something on-topic about the
weather!
