Default Lyrid Meteor shower

Don't know if the local weather will cooperate, but.....

From spaceweather.com

LYRID METEORS: Earth is passing through a stream of debris from Comet
Thatcher (C/1861 G1), the source of the annual Lyrid meteor shower. If
you want to see some Lyrid meteors, wake up and go outside one or two
hours before dawn on Thursday, April 22nd, when the shower peaks. Expect
to see 5 to 25 shooting stars per hour. [more

Very cool.. thanks for posting about this.

Has anyone seen this shower before? Only one I have seen recently was
the Leonids, in 2002 I think. They were spectacular, we saw several
thousand from our low-light-pollution area.

peace,
