(Phone: 301/286-2806) NOTE TO EDITORS: n03-124 NASA WEBCAST TEACHES STUDENTS ABOUT SPACECRAFT "Aura: Up Close" is the first in a series of educational webcasts about NASA's latest Earth Science Enterprise mission, the Aura spacecraft. The live, one-hour webcast begins at 1 p.m. EST Thursday. Aura will study climate change, air quality, and ozone. NASA's Special Project Initiatives Office is hosting the webcast from the clean room that houses the spacecraft at Northrup Grumman Corporation in Redondo Beach, Calif. The engineers and technicians who built the spacecraft will take the audience on a tour Aura's instruments and explain how they work. Questions posted via email will be answered live during the webcast.
