![]() It's still out there, a tight swirl cranking away southwest of Hawaii, about to creep out of GOES range, and seemingly near or over tropical-storm strength again (from my examinationg of a vis-loop at http://www.ghcc.msfc.nasa.gov/GOES/ , with a giant, over-shooting blow-up just at sunset...it looks like it could easily wind up all the way to hurricane again in the central Pacific. What I can't fathom is why the Navy kept an eye on it for three days as a convection-free swirl, then dropped coverage just as it was reaquiring convection. -- Reply to sans two @@, or your reply won't reach me.
