If we can get a dozen people downloading that site, we should be able
to accumulate an unbroken string of imagery.

You can yoink the last four and a half days of individual images from
the same folks, at:

Thanks. Now if there was only an easy way to automate (without knowing
how to write scripts) the process:

Using IE's "Save As" command, I selected "Web Archive" (and further
selection options to check "on" save-graphics), and it chugged down a
big, fat file of something like 60megs. (Since the site needs a
certificate, none of my stand-alone web-extraction utilities will work.)
Unfortunately, I can't seem to find a utility anywhere which will
extract all the jpegs out of that fat file.

Any ideas?

(BTW, I also need pics between 0409052345 and 0409060015.)

The only autograbber I have (Sitesnag) also barfed on the site, seems
there is some scripting that generates the page with the image. Brute
force clicking and saving wins in the end... =)

There is nothing between those two in what I have here, being only 30
minutes apart - which appears to be the period they are using. I've got
everything in the HiRes IR from 0409042345 on, yell if you need your
inbox stuffed! ;^)

I goofed up there; I actually need 0409051515 to 0409052345.

(BTW, what "parent" page linked to the URL you provided? Also, is there
anything similar out there for long-period static frame-of-reference
archves suitable for movie-making?)

Scroll down to 'Tropical Cyclone' on the left frame, then scroll to
'Visual, IR and Water Vapor Images' in the main frame. The images are
on the 'NLMOC AOR Lists' - HiRes IR section.

Interesting things lurking at:

I'm sure the experts here have more!

Think I've got everything, thanks.

Also got a set of KMOB (Mobile. AL) WR-88D radar imagery showing Ivan
crossing over, very impressive - 443 files, 28.6 Mb, though - want to
try to put together an MPG.
