Default TAMDAR Sensor

Hi:

Has anyone heard of AirDat (www.airdat.com) or the new weather sensor that
they're installing on commercial aircraft to collect upper-air data? It's
an intersting approach sort of like ACARS but lower in the atmosphere and
potentially on more aircraft.

There is a NOAA website about it (http://www.crh.noaa.gov/tamdar/) and they
seem to have the attention of the FAA and NASA.

You can get the data their collecting over the great lakes right now for
free on their website. Post back on this list if you know anything more
about this.

BF
