Here's the info if you still need it and for all others that might have
the same question. The WeatherLink software is bundled together with the cable that connects your Vantage Pro (or Vantage Pro 2) to your computer. You can't get it separately. You don't really need Weatherlink, there are other software packages that do the same and (usually) much more, like Virtual Weather Station, WeatherDisplay, and others, but they do cost about $100 extra. And about the price: I got my copy new for $120, just do a search or ask around on forums, and you should find a good deal. George wrote: I have been looking at a Davis Vantage Pro for my home weather station. The only major question I have is how much is the cable to hook it to my computer serial port. I want to use Virtual Weather Station but from what I read it appears I need to buy the davis WeatherLink software which is about $170 more. It appears most other weather stations just need a cable to connect the console and serial port and then the weather software does the rest. Does the Davis need the WeatherLink software also??
