Typhoon Sonca had been approaching the Philippines
https://metoc.npmoc.navy.mil/jtwc/satshots/wp0305sams.jpg but has recently been turning away to the NE and once again poor bloody Iwo Jima is the predicted target! https://metoc.npmoc.navy.mil/jtwc/warnings/wp0305sa.gif What a bugger of a place to live! It seems to be in the firing line for every second typhoon in the NW Pacific. [Above JTWC URLs current at 08:45UTC 25 Apr 2005] Cheers, Phred. -- LID |
