I check the latest satellite image, and this one may disappear into the
northern Atlantic, and will not posing any threat. Who knows? Water
temperature, current, etc are factors that affect whether a hurricane
will develop.

is the due to the big circulation that is apparently

Dunno. Given the current situation, I think that TPC (aka NHC) would
deep six Philippe at the first opportunity, and hand off the
forecasting responsiblities for the extratropical entity to NCEP.

So I'm guessing there's more to Philippe than meets the eye.
