I've lost count of the number of possible mechanisms for
abrupt climate change, but it only takes one of them to make a global disaster. This new one is interesting. http://www.infozine.com/news/stories...iew/sid/12223/ http://www.nature.com/news/2006/0601.../060102-5.html Abrupt reversal in ocean overturning during the Palaeocene/Eocene warm period Flavia Nunes, Richard D. I thought the science, especially how they could glean so much from the differences in Carbon-12 and Carbon-13 composition, to be fascinating and illuminating. Plus, UCSD and Woods Hole are two top oceanographic schools in the nation. Do you have a scientific criticism of their research you'd like to share with the group (one that, it should go without saying, doesn't involve a personal attack on a poster)? |

Something tells me that even after reading the articles he may
still struggle with that. People who disagree with the data about GCC can be exceptionally passionate. There seems to be much more knee-jerking on this topic than most. -- -R |
