Global warming deniers use the same tactics as evolution haters,
chicken hawk super patriots, and every other person who wants to deny
the truth for either emotional or financial reasons.

Richard Dawkins has long talked about "argument from personal
incredulity" or "argument from ignorance" as used by evolution deniers,
but this sort of argument is used everywhere by people who don't have
the documented facts behind them. In other words: "If I don't believe
it, or I don't understand it, it must not be true."

"It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you
know for sure that just ain't so." Mark Twain

With up to TRILLIONS of dollars at stake, there's also:

It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary
depends upon his not understanding it.

Upton Sinclair, Candidate for Governor: And How I Got Licked (1935)
ISBN 0520081986

I'd have to say that AGW advocates are like creationists.

And Bush is a great liberal, and Hitler loved the Jews.

There was no
serious climate change before man invented it about 170 years ago.

Well, man wasn't causing serious climate change until then.

Of course
now it's out of control according to them. So much for nature.

The global warming deniers are making billions of dollars from denying
it, but you are obsessively focused on whether anybody is making any
money from trying to warn people.
