I forecasted that birdflu would go pandemic sometime in the
winter-spring of 2007 and that is a few months away. My forecast was based on genetic Reassortment of people who have simultaneously a cold virus (rhino type virus) along with H5N1 or H7N7. So far that forecast is rather coming true given the speeded up occurrences of cases in Indonesia and Asia. I forecasted Iraq would end up as 3 smaller countries of Shia, Sunni and Kurd. That forecast by me was made shortly after the invasion of Iraq in March 2003. I would say the forecast is 80 to 90 percent come true, all except the actually drawing up of boundary or border lines for Shia, Sunni and Kurd new countries. I forecasted that the summer and fall of 2006 would have little to no hurricane damage compared to 2005 with Katrina. The reason being is the increasing volcanic activity that spews ash into the atmosphere. Laughingly, the US govt meteorology bureau forecasted the opposite of me, saying it will be a bad season. Today is 21 August and so far I am more correct than the govt meteorologists although we still have plenty of time remaining for me to be wrong. I forecasted that every summer the interior of the USA will become more arid and desert like and this summer was just that. The reason being is that global warming dumps water along the coasts of continents, water that was meant for the interiors is lost to the coasts, since rainfall follows a zero-net-sum pattern. Unless we apply Thistle seed or cotton fibers into the atmosphere by airplanes emitted these floating particles in the apogee of their flightpath, that we so disrupt world rainfall, we also disrupt agriculture and Earth's ecosystem to a dangerous level. The trend line is that interiors of continents are heading to become deserts, and so far, ever since year 2000 this has been true that we have had continual summer droughts. I forecasted increased hurricane intensity due to global warming before the summer that Katrina hit. My posts to the Internet is my evidence record. I forecasted that this century, the 21st century, will have about 3 periods of nuclear weapons detonation of either war or terrorism. That wars are pressure valve releases of human overpopulation. The 20th century had 3 such wars of 1914, 1940, 1970 (Vietnam). Spaced about 30 years apart as a "generational spacing" for populations to get to another pressure release. Unless humanity applies a MAD Fleet (mutually assured destruction fleet) to insure no-one launches nuclear weapons and to provide the motivation for all who have nuclear weapons to dismantle them and to provide the motivation to all those that do not have nuclear weapons to never want to build them. My forecast includes dirty bombs of terrorist acts. So the world is ripe with overpopulation that releases its pressure by the incidence of a nuclear warhead detonation. I thought perhaps the Kashmir violence would spark a nuclear war but now we have Iran and North Korea building nuclear weapons that could easily end up in the hands of terrorists. Either our planet imposes a MAD Fleet first and gives us the maximum insurance of no nuclear weapons detonation, or, we live through several nuclear detonations and then wise up afterwards and impose a MAD Fleet belatedly. I forecast that because we have no border security and that illegal immigrants flood into our country, that the USA is on a downhill slide from its superpower status to that of 2nd rate power due to internal strife of 2 different cultures in one country. Illegal immigration was a major symptom of ancient Rome and some may say that the fall of Rome was largely due to the lack of control of foreigners. History teaches us that countries with different cultures usually end up with a splitting of that country into smaller countries. Unless the USA can secure its southern border and stop this flood of Spanish speaking people, that the USA in the future will really be divided for which the 1860 Civil War never accomplished. Just so that we can buy lettuce for 50 cents cheaper, we hand our grandchildren of the future a divided USA. History tells us, that a country stays together if its culture is one culture. The moment you have 2 different cultures, your asking for trouble. Canada has accomodated its English and French and not without much tension and stress. Can the USA accomodate English and Spanish, and I doubt it, given the history of the USA of a proclivity to fight. I forecast on this issue that we are unable to secure the border because the saving of 10 cents in the price of veggies or fruits or cheap labor trumps the good wisdom of dual cultures. And thus the downfall mode of the USA superpower to less than some other culture such as China. Science and USA have been handmaidens to superpowerdom. Science is now sprouting in China and will lead China to superpowerdom. Science has never been handmaiden in Spanish cultures and so while the USA sorts out this mess of illegal immigrants, China can easily surpass the USA. My forecast here is that cheaper lettuce and cheap labor trumps a better future of a monoculture and that China surpasses the USA in this century.
