The last 3 years we've had well below normal temps. Drier than normal
but dang cold.

When I went to school way back in the 1960s, they taught me that heavy
snowstorms and worse winters in the Northeast United States would be a
sign of global *warming*. The reason is that as the Northwest Passage
and the rest of the Arctic ice melts, all that cold water from the
Arctic is going to go pouring into the North Atlantic. Moist winds
blowing over that cold water will cool the wind and cause it to drop snow.

Now back in the 1960s, we thought that this polar melting might happen
due to a shift in the earth's poles, as has happened before. But it's
happening due to additional greenhouse gases being poured into the
atmosphere.

The result is the same: Melting polar caps will make winters *worse*
here in New England. And sure enough, that seems to have happened; most
of the worst winters in New England history happened in only the last 10
years.

Hmm. If colder New England winters are evidence of global warming are
warmer New England winters evidence of global cooling?

most of the worst winters in New England history happened in only the last
10 years.

Really? Provide a reference to confirm this.

Go ahead. Don't hem and haw. Don't **** and moan. Just provide a
reference to support your assertion. Go ahead.

Indeed, we could use more rain too.

Cheers,

Rich

Colder New England winters are an example of regional Climate Change.

The rise in Global Average Temperature above the level of natural climate
variability is Observational proof that the Globe is Warming.
