Atmospheric CO2 levels Started (preindustrial) at 300 ppm and have increased
to 383.72 ppm, with the latest increase coming in at 2.15 ppm per year.

So the increase is 83.72 ppm, not 16.

And of course no one is claiming that an additional 16 PPM will trigger
catastrophe. The science projects outwar to the year 2100 and beyond, when
CO2 levels - without taking the actions you oppose to limite the emissions -
are a minimum of 2 times higher than the preindustrial average - around 600
ppm.
