Indeed. That's why the nuclear power industry in the US will never go
anywhere without subsidies. It can't turn a profit otherwise, and in the
biggest capitalist country in the world this is a significant bellwether.
The money would be better spent on more forward looking solutions whose costs
are more easily estimated over the life of the project, rather than
technologies that have ever increasing price curves due to unknowns.
