June Was 22nd Warmest on NASA's 129-Year Global Land Record.
Despite fossil fool lies, global mean surface temperatures continue to rise. These globally averaged temperature data come from NASA: http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/tabledata/GLB.Ts.txt They represent the results of tens of millions of readings taken at thousands of stations covering all the lands of the Earth over the last 129 years. Yes, the data are corrected for the urban heat island effect. The Mean June temperature over the last 129 years is 13.985 C. The Variance is 0.09991. The Standard Deviation is 0.3161. Rxy 0.766159 Rxy^2 0.587 TEMP = 13.562158 + (0.006503 * (YEAR-1879)) Degrees of Freedom = 127 F = 180.506221 Confidence of nonzero correlation = approximately 0.9999999999999999999999999 (25 nines), which is darn close to 100%! The month of June in the year 2008, is linearly projected to be 14.401, yet it was 14.26. -- Below projected. The sum of the residuals is 20.34153 Exponential least squares fit: TEMP = 13.565712 * e^(.0004643 * (YEAR-1879)) The sum of the residuals is 20.29382 Rank of the months of June Year Temp C Anomaly Z score 1998 14.84 0.855 2.71 2005 14.72 0.735 2.33 2006 14.64 0.655 2.07 1991 14.63 0.645 2.04 2001 14.57 0.585 1.85 1994 14.56 0.575 1.82 2007 14.54 0.555 1.76 2000 14.54 0.555 1.76 1999 14.54 0.555 1.76 1997 14.54 0.555 1.76 1883 14.54 0.555 1.76 2004 14.52 0.535 1.69 2003 14.52 0.535 1.69 2002 14.52 0.535 1.69 1988 14.51 0.525 1.66 1987 14.47 0.485 1.53 1990 14.41 0.425 1.34 1995 14.40 0.415 1.31 1981 14.35 0.365 1.16 1977 14.29 0.305 0.97 1983 14.27 0.285 0.90 2008 14.26 0.275 0.87 -- MEAN 13.985 0.000 0.00 1897 13.73 -0.255 -0.81 1929 13.72 -0.265 -0.84 1925 13.72 -0.265 -0.84 1911 13.72 -0.265 -0.84 1932 13.71 -0.275 -0.87 1908 13.70 -0.285 -0.90 1894 13.70 -0.285 -0.90 1896 13.64 -0.345 -1.09 1892 13.60 -0.385 -1.22 1917 13.59 -0.395 -1.25 1928 13.56 -0.425 -1.34 1907 13.55 -0.435 -1.38 1904 13.54 -0.445 -1.41 1893 13.54 -0.445 -1.41 1884 13.53 -0.455 -1.44 1891 13.52 -0.465 -1.47 1913 13.45 -0.535 -1.69 1885 13.44 -0.545 -1.72 1880 13.44 -0.545 -1.72 1903 13.41 -0.575 -1.82 1882 13.36 -0.625 -1.98 1887 13.32 -0.665 -2.10 1881 13.15 -0.835 -2.64 The most recent 187 continuous months, or 15 years and 7 months, on this GLB.Ts.txt data set are all above the 1951-1980 data set norm of 14 C. There are 1542 months of data on this data set: -- 758 of them are at or above the norm. -- 784 of them are below the norm. This run of 187 months above the norm is the result of a warming world. It is too large to occur by chance at any reasonable level of confidence. A major volcano eruption, thermonuclear war, or meteor impact could stop this warming trend for a couple of years, otherwise expect it to continue. |
