You, obviously and those supplying you with the hot air you're blowing in here. You've cornered the market on verbal flatus. Fran When AGW is proved to be the scam that it is then the banking crash that results from carbon trading will dwarf the current one. You are clearly clueless. Humans benefit when the biosphere is healthier. Somebody has to pay for that work. That somebody should be all the beneficiaries. It's quite simple really. That will be the disaster that the Gore prophesy and profits cause. You're obsessed. The question remains: Why? Fran You are the one obsessed. CO2 feeeds plants. Look up "composition fallacy" No CO2 no plants When I a) advocate an atmosphere without CO2 b) set out a plan for realising (a) make the objection above In the meantime ... Look up "composition fallacy" and "Free Air CO2 enrichment studies and we all die. Higher levels of CO2 will lead to a much healthier biosphere -like when dinosaurs were running around... And when humans weren't. You do not what happened 55.8 million years ago don't you? Why not look it up and get back to the group? Don't you know about that? More than you it seems. Good post, Fran. I don't like your left-leaning politics too much, being a right-wing, green anarchist (and a militant nontheist) myself, but your way of dealing with willfully (pig-) ignorant trolls is superb. I'm interested in what serves the life chances of humans, and given that humans do best when they comprehend their legitimate interests and find ways to collaborate equitably, I'm for that. In so far as capitalism, and the structures that necessarily attend it (states for example) militate against equitable collaboration, I'm opposed to capitalism. *********************************************** Spoken like a true socialist, mein comrade! If you're going to do German, do it properly: mein Kamerad. Aber, Ich bin nicht dein Kamerad ... Do you have any examples, in today's world or ever in history, of such a "utopia"? It will be a thing designed by working humanity as it strives for freedom and self-expression. I thought not. Such "utopias" will never come about whilst human nature is what it is. Like most of what you post, your statement is prima facie paradoxical. Human *nature*, if indeed there is such a thing, would be immutable and suprahistorical. Were the attributes anythng else, *nature* would be the wrong term. It is precisely because what it means to be human is not fixed, and that humans individually and collectively author themselves and each other, that progress is possible. Your failure to grasp this point helps explain the misanthropy you so frequently express here. Bring on the "re-education camps" did I hear you say? As usual the voices you hear are simply the noise of the windmills of your mind -- a metaphor which I feel confident describes the intermittent content in your postings.. Count me out though. I did, long ago. Fran |
