Hi! My name is Bob (CROWD: HI BOB!) and I am a puppet.

I have no control over my newsgroup posts. They just go wherever the
posts I reply to went. If I reply to something cross-posted here and
to a sex newsgroup, I end up posting to the sex newsgroup too. Like
the puppet that I am, I always let someoene else yank my strings and
I never ever take control of where my posts go. I am a pathetic loser.

Here are the twelve steps I used to deal with my problem.

STEP 1:
I admitted I am powerless over my newsgroups line
and that my posting had become unmanageable.

STEP 2:
I came to believe that a Power greater than myself could
restore my control over where my newsgroup posts go.

STEP 3:
I made a decision to turn my posting over to the care of
God as I understand Him.

STEP 4:
I made a searching and fearless moral inventory of my
posting history.

STEP 5:
I admitted to God, to myself and to others the exact nature
of my crossposting wrongs.

STEP 6:
I became entirely ready to have God remove all these
defects of character.

STEP 7:
I humbly asked Him to remove my shortcomings.

STEP 8:
I made a list of all the newssgroups I had wronged and
became willing to make amends to them all.

STEP 9:
I made direct amends to the users of those newsgroups
wherever possible, except when (as would be the case if I posted
to the newsgroups agaiin) to do so would injure them or others.

STEP 10:
I continued to take personal inventory and when I fell off the
wagon and crossposted again promptly admitted it.

STEP 11:
I sought through prayer and meditation to improve my conscious
contact with God as I understand Him, praying only for knowledge
of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

STEP 12:
Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps,
I am now trying to carry this message to others, and to practice
the principles of only posting to newsgroups that I reasd in
all of my affairs.
