You are nothing like authoritative or convincing. a) you have no benchmark standard for BoM accuracy "from one day to the nest" against which to judge BoM performance. No benchmark standard! My Gaia! What do we do without benchmark standards?! I know; let's develop an analytical system that quantifies the quality of the forecasts against what actually happened. Use that system to analyse past forecasts and the actual weather, publish and, before you know it, you have a benchmark standard. That has been done. As "the expert" you purport to be, how could you not know that? Did it ever cross your mind that BoM may measure their own forecast quality and tune their methods to achieve the highest quality? I know that they take absolutely NO responsibility for anything that they publish, but surely it's nice to know that it'd be safe to go home at the end of work. b) you have no data to compare with that model Rubbish. BoM forecasts are very likely archived and can be compared to what actually happened. c) the benchmark standards for short term prediction of weather trends within a specific region are entirely different from gross assessments You stated at a) that there were no benchmark standards. You're a transparent sham, Fran. of global climate trends and their likely drivers d) the likely sea ice extent during future years in the high northern altitudes during the northern summer are not connected with short term weather prediction You're a sham, Fran. Can't even get the simple things right. "the high northern altitudes"? Sea ice doesn't form at high altitudes. You seem to be too busy gabbing to pay attention even to what you're writing. Or even thinking before punishing your keyboard. Try to stick with simple words like "polar ice cap", "polar sea ice" or "Santa's home". -- /"\ Bernd Felsche - Innovative Reckoning, Perth, Western Australia \ / ASCII ribbon campaign | Second to agriculture, humbug is the X against HTML mail | biggest industry of our age. / \ and postings | -- Alfred Nobel |
