Default Layman's icy discovery baffles MO climatologists

http://www.foxnews.com/story/1,2833,471663,dnl.html

News brief, 26 December 2008:

Josef Sikspach of Cape Girardeau, Missouri announced a revelation that
he said "could change the outcome of climate research." For religious
reasons, Sikspach said he held off revealing his discovery until after
Christmas 2008, but has been compiling evidence since 1998 after
hearing a radio skeptic.

In summary, Sikspach discovered that winter is a permanent phenomenon
and record cold temperatures occur randomly at different locations,
though some locations may experience record high temperatures in the
same period. The full details of his research had not been released at
the time of this writing.

According to Sikspach, he initially contacted researchers at Missouri
State University's meteorology dept., who declined to comment but
acknowledged his 10-year effort. That, he said is "proof that they
were stunned by his insight." He has yet to file peer-reviewed papers
and said "it will be up to my peers to come forward."

The 41 year-old father of six said the continued persistence of winter
was unknown to climatologists, hence their belief in man-made global
warming due to CO2 and other heat-trapping gases. When asked whether
unprecedented volumes of those gases were relevant, Sikspach did not
comment. He also said he hadn't seen reports of rapid declines in
polar and glacial ice.

Sikspach would not specify his credentials to reporters, but said he
draws a lot of material from think-tank articles. Asked if he had
personally done any climate experiments, Sikspach replied, "the
challenges of a classic car restoration business have limited my time,
but I'll get back to you."

That's so irresponsible... He should have spent the
remainder of his life sending his work to various
journals, one after the other.
