Hey moron, go to google scholar and look at all the cites for
yourself.
Google James Hansen and read about how the Bush administration,

no credentials, altered his testimony to Congress in an all-out
war on
science.
****wit.

Same here, but fortunately, with science given the respect it
deserves over the next (at least) eight years, there will be less
and less flat earthers In the future.

In terms of legislation and government perhaps.

That's a big step in the right direction. Also there will be a
demand for science and engineering educated individuals in a
multitude of projects for green energy and infrastructure.

Sounds like a increase in H1-B visas is neccessary then

*groan* you are more skeptical than I am. Maybe you're right. I
dunno.

But most of the public gets their memes from the likes of Limbaugh

It seems like a lot, but consider Obama's 77% approval rating now. I
think the percentage of true hold-out knuckledraggers in our country
is about 20%. The problem is that they have louder voices sometimes.

Because I saw this a few minutes ago...it seems appropo:

Yes, scary.

So the masses will remain willfully, gleefully ignorant and proud of
it.

Your skepticism is healthy, but I hope it's proven unwarranted over
the coming years. ... er... but watch out for that 20% that will
never be on board for progress.

Racism is alive and well. And with economic downturns people look for
scapegoats.
FYI

But, hopefully, they'll have less chance of being successful at
forcing their ignorance onto everyone else (creationism in science
classes, etc.).

I'd say theres at least two reasons why it'll happen: H1B ers work for
peanuts, and industry would rationalise it as "theres not enough science
grads being produced in uhmurikuh..."

The radio station should be required to sound a little chime each and
every time Rush uses a fallacy during a broadcast. You know, **All
right thinking people** say so.

All that dinging would be maddening...

It would be almost nonstop, Eh?

Its the reason for Limbaughs tinnitus...

Hopefully. IIRC some legislation passed regarding science and
"creationism" in the classroom in Texass...
