Hmm.... the data at the University of Illinois 'Cryosphere Today' website
(http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosph...aly.timeseries.
jpg) suggest that today the arctic sea ice coverage is about 800,000 square
kilometers below the 1979-2000 average for the date. To me that tends to
support the idea that sea ice in the arctic is decreasing over time. Most
amusing.
