Relevance?

Is the economy of Australia not relevant to this debate?

Yes but is the quantum of China's monthly emissions relevant to
Australia's target?

The ETS will cripple our economy. Business and Unions agree on
this!

Nonsense

That should scare even you.

If it were true, but I stopped worrying about monsters under my
bed at
four.

So you know more about the economy than the business community?

Given that the 'business community' was for the most part, utterly
blindsided by the GFC, and has spent most of the last 50 years
ignoring fundamental problems in Australian life and still throws up
people like Hockey and Turnbull who talk utterly self-serving
narrow-
minded tosh about the economy, it's no contest. They are buffoons.

My god you are predictable.

Oh? A god botherer. How predictable.

The GFC was a direct result of leftoids using the threat of Federal
Law to force banks to lend to people who had no chance of paying back
loans.

Your faith in your other dogma is amusing ....

Do you know what hubris means?

Better than that -- I know whom it applies to ... the bulk of our
politcal elite and their groupies like you.

run out of arguments I see

You didn't ask for an argument. I don't supply them for free.

Do you rate your self as knowing more
about these things than collective contemporary business thinking?

Absolutely. "Contemporary business thinking" has demonstrably failed
all the criteria one might reasonably have expected of it. As late
as
August of 2008 -- one month before Lehmann's collapsed and the
British
economy went tits up and substantially nationalised its banks, the
World Economic Forum rated the US and British economies as having
the
most robust financial regulations and the banking system least
exposed
to collapse of all the world's economies.

Yes and the root cause was government intervention in the market.

All contemporary markets are the product of government intervention of
one kind or another you ignorant prattler. This very crisis is an
instantiation of the failure of one kind of intervention in the
context of the broader usages of trade in money and land.

We now have a world where things still desperately need to be done,
and where there are ample people with the skills to do them and
ample
materials too but the best and brightest can think of no way in
which
they can get done without offending their collective dogma and so
they
arfe already beginning to offend it by having the governments of the
world take on what they call 'toxic debt' and paying the architects
of
this criminally reckless and/or fraudulent mess multi-billion dollar
bonuses.

Your a fruit loop. Your argument is self defeating. You are rambling
about a crisis that was caused by government intervention designed to
artificially skew markets and now want that intervention in all parts
of the market.

The 'government intervention' was at the behest of capitalism. They
forgot the 'be careful what you wish for' rule and the other one --
the composition fallacy -- which notes that what is good for.an
individual to do aint necessarily good for everyone to do. That's a
rule you ought to apply more often because dishonouring it is
something you do regularly when you utter your mindless nonsense.

Fran

God help us if you lot get your way.

And again you're hoping for divine intervention. It says a lot.

Yup, they have the hubris, but I know more than them.

Not much point arguing with a fringe dweller.

I agree. Your position was once mainstream. Now most peopel are
laughing and Greenspan admits his vision is in ruins.

Thank God that people are not swayed by the empty promisies of know it
all school teachers!

For someone who wants to be taken seriously, your appeals to your big
invisible friend strike an odd note.

What about your invisble friend Gaia, eh komrade?

No friend of mine. Mind you some people who believe in Gaia would
endorse your campaign.

We are all religious, even dyed-in-the-wool atheists!!

Well you are anyway. Your devotional activity for the polluters'
cartel and the 'god pond' is constant.
