Default 2009 Jun 30 1138 UTC - "ALL QUIET" ALERT

:Issued: 2009 Jun 30 1138 UTC
:Product: documentation at http://www.sidc.be/products/quieta
#--------------------------------------------------------------------#
# From the SIDC (RWC-Belgium): "ALL QUIET" ALERT #
#--------------------------------------------------------------------#
START OF ALL QUIET ALERT ....................... The SIDC - RWC
Belgium expects quiet Space Weather conditions for the next 48 hours
or
until further notice. This implies that: * the solar X-ray output is
expected to remain below C-class level, * the K_p index is expected to
remain below 5, * the high-energy proton fluxes are expected to remain
below the event threshold.

Snip... more noise about the lack of a sun spot facing the Earth near
a bottom(minimum) in a reoccuring ~11 year cycle. Never mind that
our sun is radiating 50+ MW of highly energetic photons per square
meter of surface area. (Which is NOT something I would classify as
"all quiet")..

from today's http://www.spaceweather.com/ (July 1, 2009)

"Yesterday, a sunspot emerged in the circled region, but it
disappeared so fast that it did not receive an official number.
Readers with solar telescopes should monitor the region for a
reappearance. Credit: SOHO/M"
