Default Peer Reviewed Paper, Residence Time Of CO2 Is About 5 Years

In a paper recently published in the international peer-reviewed journal
Energy & Fuels, Dr. Robert H. Essenhigh (2009), Professor of Energy
Conversion at The Ohio State University, addresses the residence time (RT)
of anthropogenic CO2 in the air.

He finds that the RT for bulk atmospheric CO2, the molecule 12CO2, is
about 5 years, in good agreement with other cited sources (Segalstad,
1998), while the RT for the trace molecule 14CO2 is about 16 years.

Segalstad is is excellent. Good website, too.

Both of these residence times are much shorter than what is claimed by the
IPCC.

IPCC claims are meaningless. CO2 residence times have been measured for
decades by countless people in many disciplines. They all find about the
same result -- about 5 to 15 years. There are faster (annual) turnover pools
of carbon. Lots of rapid oceanic turnover. The biological pools average
faster than the geological pooles, which are larger, but have slower mass
turnover times.

A ridiculous lie. Half-life of atmospheric CO2 is 60-100 years.

Sorry, lying denialist k00ksite.
