I am looking for temperature data for Asheville, NC. What I need
is the daily low temperatures from November 1st to April 1st, going back how ever many years the data is available. See my post here subject: "Need graph - avg of coldest 10% of recorded temps for each day for location" posted on 10/17/2009. Nobody could recommend a site that had something similar to what I need - so I apparently will have to make my own. I wanted a graph of the coldest 10% (or maybe up to 20%) of the data to get an idea of how cold it could get (reasonable possibility) during those months. (If the data goes back 80 years, then the point for each day would be the average of the 8 coldest days on record.) If I make my own graph, I will probably exclude the coldest 2 days on record for each day, and then take the coldest 10% from whats left. I know http://weather-warehouse.com will provide a spread sheet of the data (more data than I want) for Asheville (the station closest to downtown) going back many years, but they want $210 for it. I also could get it a day at a time from almanac.com - but for 80 years that would be 12,000 manaul queries. Thanks for any help. |
