Inquiry into stolen climate e-mails By Roger Harrabin Environment analyst, BBC News Details of a university inquiry into e-mails stolen from scientists at one of the UK's leading climate research units are likely to be made public next week. Announcement of a chair of the inquiry and terms of reference will probably be made on Monday, a source says. The University of East Anglia's (UEA) press office did not confirm the date. But a spokesperson said information about the investigation into the hack at UEA's Climatic Research Unit (CRU) would be made public very soon. Scientists will be scrutinising the choice of chair and the terms of reference. One senior climate scientist told me that the chair would have to be a person accepted by both mainstream climate scientists and sceptics as a highly respected figure without strong connections to either group. BBC News understands that senior individuals at UEA have acknowledged the potential damage to the university's reputation from the CRU affair and are anxious to clear the institution's name. But there is a risk that some people will not accept the findings of any inquiry unless it is fully independent, as demanded by the former UK Chancellor Lord Lawson earlier in the week. A petition is running on the 10 Downing Street website calling for CRU to be suspended from preparation of any government climate statistics until the allegations have been fully investigated. Some researchers would not comment until they had seen UEA's nominated chairman and terms of reference. But Professor Sir John Houghton, chair of the IPCC's first science panel, said he would not support an inquiry as many of those demanding one were biased. Phil Willis MP said the House of Commons Science and Technology Select Committee - of which he is chair - had written to UEA asking for copies of the e-mails and an explanation. Depending on the response, the committee will decide whether to proceed further. Professor Sir David King, the former government chief scientist, told BBC News there are three key issues: a.. how did the leakage occur - was there any payment in the process? b.. the alleged behaviour of the scientists indicated by the e-mails c.. does this have any impact on the scientific conclusion? If an independent inquiry encompassed all three aspects, Professor Sir David said he would support it. |

I hope the revelations destroy a few AGW careers, they are built on a
sham, after all. |

BBC News understands that senior individuals at UEA have acknowledged the potential damage to the university's reputation from the CRU affair and are anxious to clear the institution's name. Potential? And why clear the name of a pack of global frauds and liars? The "Senior Individuals at UEA" seem to have not gotten the memo that they've been exposed as damn frauds, or that they allowed their institution's name to be defamed by a pack of lying frauds perpetrating a world wide scam against the whole human race. Don't they get that they're at the epicenter of the greatest abuse of science in all of human history?! "University of East Anglia" will by synonymous with fraud science, lies and the abuse of "science" to make life worse for the entire human race for a few Pounds. An obvious first step. Some researchers would not comment until they had seen UEA's nominated chairman and terms of reference. That's wise. The fraud is so prevalent, you need to check to see if those who would replace Jones aren't just throwing Jones under the bus and appointing another fraud. Three points about "Professor Sir" David King: a) Sounds like Sir David is on a witch hunt to find the people who exposed the greatest scientific fraud in human history. b) If he doesn't understand the anti-science fraud revealed in the papers, then he shouldn't be commenting on it. c) Oh duh. From where did "Professor Sir" King get his scientific education? Was he a pupil of Homer Simpson? I donno. Maybe Professor Sir David is trying to be funny. I don't get the whole Monty Python thing. Science has been twisted into a huge DISSERVICE of humanity. This is a crime on a global scale, with conspirators all over the world. And the So called "university" of East Anglia was one of the nest of frauds. |

The question is not if something illegal happened, the question is, is the emails an accurate reflection of what some climate scientist are doing to promote their theory. |

[snip] Science has been twisted into a huge DISSERVICE of humanity. This is a crime on a global scale, with conspirators all over the world. And the So called "university" of East Anglia was one of the nest of frauds. There are not many witting conspirators, there are a lot of gullible souls, even too good and honorable to even consider that people in high office would stoop so low as to even cheat, let alone conspire together. But the vigor with which the whole bunch promote this junk is what is unbelievable, Al Gore with quivering voice, and Sam with hysterical urgency, etc. US farmers are actually worrying about surpluses of food in the coming years, and surpluses drive the price down and costs a lot for storage. And the climate journalists who wouldn't know a soybean from a tomato write about CO2 causing world-wide crop failures. Food is not the issue of the future, it is equity, funding, economic activity and stability, and budgets. Government needs the money from any taxes it can collect, and collecting from energy companies may be the easiest of all sources of funding. With my new stove I used less than half as many kilowatt hours last month than for the same period last year, the last 3 weeks was 4 degrees warmer than a year ago, but wait till next month, I will reduce my heated space even more. |
