Our global temperature series tallies with those of other, completely independent, groups of scientists working for NASA and the National Climate Data Center in the United States, among others. Even if you were to ignore our findings, theirs show the same results. The facts speak for themselves; there is no need for anyone to manipulate them. He's not lying there. Even though CRU has always refused to publicise their raw data, for some totally bizarre reason of their own, their secondary research pretty much matches that of US NCDC, NOAA, Satellite data as interpreted by RSS and UAH, and NASA's GISTEMP. The raw data used by all these groups is publicly available. This is why the discovery of the word "trick" in 65 meg of email correspondence really isn't news of any sort, despite the wailing hysteria rightwing bloggers. |
