The link below has an interesting collection of actual newspaper scans

They go back to 1895.

I live in Norway.
We were covered with an ice layer up to 2000 meters, that's about 6000 ft.
So. 4 degrees C is the difference between 6000 ft of ice, or country with
lush summers and winter temperatures about +5 - -5 C
Get it now?

During the last Ice age, how were average temperatures measured, and
by who?

From the tone of your posting I guess that you "dont buy into this
climate-thingy"

1. The first thing climate deniers bring to the discussion table is always
Â*"average temperatures has fluctuated wildly through the ages.
Climate change Â*is nothing new"

1- When you attempted to associate climate
skeptics with Nazi Holocaust deniers, you
labeled yourself 'nazi'. I hate Nazis!!!

2- When the anthropogenic global warming
alarmist found resistance to their message
they switched to "climate change" to confuse the
populace. Apparently you bought it without
realizing that they really mean "global warming"

Now you're saying that we DONT have a good estimate on the changing
temperatures the last 100 000 - 200 000 years?

• As recent as Tuesday I studied a graph that
covered 1,000 million years

Â*
• Dr Genvieve Woillard et al made several points

Â* Â* Â*1- The earth has functioned in 100,000 year

Â* Â* Â* Â* Â*cycles with 10 to 12,000 year interglacials.
Â* Â* Â*2- The end of the last glaciation ended more

Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* than 13,000 years ago. Ergo: the iceman
Â* Â* Â* Â* is coming sooner than later.
Â* Â* Â*3= Woillard, concluded from detailed studies

Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* that the shift from a warm, interglacial
Â*
Â* Â* Â* Â* climate to ice age conditions at the

Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* beginning of the last ice age, some 100,000
Â*
Â* Â* Â* Â* years ago, took "less than 20 years." She

Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* conclude we may be in a similar period of
Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* rapid climatic change.
Â* Â* Â* 4- Research has shown that this 20-year period

Â* Â* Â* Â* Â* is one in which Mother Nature wreaks havoc
Â*
Â* Â* Â* Â* on humanity.

• It is my belief that the beginning to the end of

Â* Â* the interglacial began 11,000 years after the

Â* Â* end of the ice age. We have had 2,000± years

Â* Â* with extreme hot periods and extreme colds
Â* Â*and now we are coming to the end of the line.
Â* Â*My guess is that we will have 50 or so years
Â* Â*of weather/climate events, Extreme hot spots
Â* Â* and cold spots, increasingly heavy
precipitation, tornados, increasing tectonic/
volcanic activity, etc

• My guess is that some time after 2050 that the

polar ice will start to creep towards the Equator

| natural phenomena
