I have one issue with the data presented by the NOAA web site.
I only have one actual observation, but on May 21 2009, I was flying
back from Europe. The route was just south of the southern tip of
Greenland and on the Canada. I thought it odd that in May there was
almost no open water (less than 50% water) between Greenland and
Canada. My direct observations seem to differ from the hundred mile
wide channel shown on the May 21 2009 time stamp of the NOAA site. I
guess that was inconvenient ice.
