Default global warming West Coast waves 3 meters higher than 30 years ago

http://www.timescolonist.com/technol...8779/story.htm

"Scientists from Oregon State University and the Oregon Department
of Geology and Mineral Industries found coastal waves have been
increasing by about 2.5 centimetres a year and storm waves by 10
centimetres a year."

"Using more sophisticated techniques that account for the non-stationarity
in the wave height record, researchers say the 100-year wave height could
actually exceed 55 feet, with impacts that would dwarf those expected
from sea level rise in coming decades. Increased coastal erosion,
flooding, damage to ocean or coastal structures and changing shorelines
are all possible, scientists say."

How does global warming affect water and wind?

Put a pot of cold tap water on the stove, obsever it for a while.

Start turning up the heat a slow increments and watch how it
progresses to rolling boil, with steam blowing off the top.

The oceans and atmosphere are heat engines.

Heat conversion to bulk movement in air and water means stronger
and more frequent big waves and stronger winds.

Anyone who claims that atmosphere doesn't cause global warming
needs to explain first why Venus is so far above black body
thermal equilibrium.

And still the denial goes on. Junk Science:= A term used by paid
industry PR Spin Doctors and front men. Translation: We want to
hear junk that sounds like science (but isn't) and which says
our bosses can carry on making gigabucks the same old way.
