Air mass moves in over warm water picks up moisture and winds move the
mass hundreds or even thousands of miles before it falls as precip.
If you're going to pontificate on weather matters, at least learn

I live in eastern Washington state and our normal snow fall is in feet
with average daily temps in the 20s. I was out today working in the
yard whith no snow, dry dirt and temp at 50. Total snow fro the winter
(all fell before Thanksgiving)? 9" and it was gone the day after.

Now if I were to use that as an example of GW I would be as stupid as
you, fortunately I know the differecne between weather and climate.
